We are please to offer the following services:

Refractive Laser Surgery - Dr. Craig is certified to perform both LASIK and PRK (Photo Refractive Keratectomy). These procedures to correct nearsightedness, farsightedness or astigmatism can eliminate or reduce the need for eyeglasses and contact lenses. Please call for a consultation. Financing is available for LASIK procedures. Several of our staff members can tell you first hand about their experiences with this procedure. These procedures are performed in Dallas at UT Southwestern Laser Center. Transportation can be provided.

Cataract – Dr. Craig performs no-stitch, outpatient cataract surgery in Henderson Memorial Hospital. Transportation is available. We file Medicare and Supplemental insurances which cover most of the cost. Dr. Craig does use the new ReStor multifocal lens implant in appropriate patients.

Glaucoma – Dr. Craig is experienced in managing this disease. Eye drops, visual field exam, and regular appointments are part of these management plans. On-site laser surgery is recommended in some cases. Glaucoma produces little or no pain. Thus, regular appointments are important in its detection.

Retina – Dr. Robert Butner, our Retina Specialist, sees patients one Friday each month at our Henderson office. On-site laser surgery may be recommended in some cases.

Low Vision – Dr. Craig and staff will patiently work with you to assess your visual problems through actual hands-on use of the vision aids, and confer with you on your best options for improved sight. Allow one hour for this exam.

Contact lenses – Dr. Craig and certified contact lens technicians can fit all contact lens styles, including gas permeable, astigmatic, monovision and bifocal contact lenses.

PRK Vision Correction – Photo refractive keratectomy (PRK) is a vision correction procedure similar to LASIK. Dr. Craig uses the same Visx Star laser at the UT Southwestern laser centers in Dallas for this procedure. Some patients are better suited to this procedure than LASIK. Several staff members at Craig Eye Associates have had PRK or LASIK, and care share their experiences with you. Linda Craig had the PRK procedure over 10 years ago, and does not need eyeglasses or contacts for her distance prescription.

Eye exams – Routine (preventive) vision care, refraction (for eyeglasses) and comprehensive medical examinations are performed. Examinations include testing for glaucoma, cataract and other eye disease.

Optical - Our optical shop is in our Henderson office. Certified Opticians can advise you regarding lightweight lenses, frame styles and tints. Open 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM Monday through Friday. No appointment necessary for Optical.

Billing Policy – We accept Medicare assignment on all office visits and file both Medicare and supplemental insurance for surgery. We do not file supplemental insurance for office visits and you will be asked to pay your refraction and co-pay at the time of service. We accept cash, personal checks, Visa, MasterCard and Discover at all offices. American Express is also accepted at our Henderson location only. We accept many (but not all) private insurances. Please telephone our office with your insurance information for verification of benefits.

Laser Financing – Payment in advance of the procedure is standard protocol. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover American Express and personal checks or cash for LASIK or PRK procedures. Another alternative is financing by Care Credit Financial Services, and we can process a short application for you, or go to their website: www.carecredit.com. There is a way to meet your needs, and our office manager is happy to assist you.
Care Credit is now offering 24 months financing at no interest.

Vision Care Plans – Our office accepts most Medicare Advantage plans, Medicaid and CHIPS children. Dr. Craig will soon be a provider for Spectera, Block Vision(August 1, 2009...please check when you make an appointment) , Eye Med and VCP.

Transportation – Complimentary private van pickup is available for office visits each Thursday afternoon, within the city limits of Henderson only.

Day of surgery – Van pickup is available from any location for transport to ETMC Henderson for surgical patients. Notify our surgical coordinator if you wish this service.
